  • PRAYER BEAR DRIVE

One unique aspect of the InterFaith Community at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth is the Prayer Bear Ministry. Many of our young friends and family members have experienced a painful procedure or lengthy hospital stay and received one of these comforting bears. To honor these patients, FUMC Joshua will be collecting new, soft teddy bears Sunday, August 20 through Wednesday, September 6. Roscoe's Smokehouse is partnering with us to collect bears at their locations in Burleson and Keller too. For every bear donated at FUMC Joshua, participants will receive a chance to win a gift card to Roscoe's. All of the teddy bears will be delivered to Cook Children's Hospital on National Teddy Bear Day -- Saturday, September 9!!!!!!

  • QUILTERS

Our annual fall festival, Lord's Acre, is just around the corner and the quilters are looking for extra hands to help finish their big project. Lord's Acre is Saturday, September 23.

JUMPS - Joshua United Methodist Preschool
Director: Dana Gomez

We offer the JUMPS program at FUMC Joshua in order to give children a safe place to be cared for in a Christian atmosphere where they can experience God’s love.

We believe that all children are gifts from God. Our mission is to minister to families by providing a quality children’s childcare ministry which offers parental peace of mind. We seek to provide spiritual, social, and academic growth for the children of these families.

Specifically, our classroom lessons are designed to help children do the following:

  • Acquire knowledge and an understanding of the world around them
  • Use language to effectively communicate and to facilitate learning and thinking.
  • Acquire and refine basic physical skills (gross and fine motor)
  • Develop an awareness of good health and safety practices
  • Develop a sense of curiosity, creativity, and imagination which will promote a lifelong love for learning

Daily activities at JUMPS include:

  • Bible Stories
  • Circle Time
  • Stories and Books
  • Arts and Crafts
